If you haven’t been by the one-year-old brewery on North Main Street, you are missing out! Born and raised right here in the Valley, Adam, Jason, and Tyler Shifflett have truly perfected their craft of brewing unique, award-winning beers. In addition to distributing kegs aplenty across Virginia, they recently upgraded their bottling system, so chances are you’ve seen a case or two in our local grocery stores. Click the logo above to visit their site and see what’s flowing in the taproom.
This summer, their Rum Barrel Aged Belgian Dubbel won a bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO – a prestigious and coveted award for a brand-new brewer – and we’re told it has been re-released this week to the public. Hint: Always try anything with “barrel” in its name. These beers are aged for months in wooden casks that were previously holding liquor, resulting in a deliciously infused concoction sure to quench your thirst.
We hear the brewery is due for an expansion soon, adding even more tanks to increase production by about 40%, plus they’re looking to hire a full-time head bartender. Oh, and this can be our little secret, they often have cases (24-pack) of partial-filled bottles for just $15. Next time you’re on the North end of town, stop in for a drink.
