Meet Jessie Y. Shelburne

Jessie Y Shelburne is a painter that grew up in the mountains of Virginia.  Her work features traditional paintings depicting introspective and color focused subjects that are integrated into vast dream-like environments inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  Her paintings are rendered with rich and intuitive mark making that shifts dramatically in color, layers and technique. She received a BFA in Painting/Drawing from James Madison University in 2010.
