Liberty Street Mercantile: Now Open!

New to downtown, the highly anticipated Liberty St. Mercantile is open for business!

Aside from being a stunning space, Liberty St. Mercantile is an awesome place to find some one-of-a kind items, support local small businesses, and enjoy the north end of downtown.

Liberty St. Mercantile is a collection of locally-owned shops, including a coffee shop, a wine bar, and an event space. While some shops are still moving in and some spaces are still available to rent, the first several businesses are up and running! Be sure to stop by and check them out next time you are in the mood for a little shopping, and we know you’ll love what you find!

Shops currently open in the beautiful new Liberty Street Mercantile building can be seen below!

Several more shops are coming soon to Liberty St., including:

Blakemore’s Flowers

and Rootstock Wine Bar VA.

You can follow all of these awesome businesses on Facebook and Instagram for more details!

The upstairs event space, aptly titled “The Loft at Liberty St.” is stunning!

With hardwood floors, tons of open space and natural light, a large, elegant bar area, and plenty of space for tables & seating or room to dance. It also has two smaller rooms off to the side of the main floor – one for getting ready (well suited for bridal parties!) and a cozy lounge area. Along with hosting community events like the comedy club student showcase and the Makers Market on November 25th & 26th, this event space is available to rent and would be perfect for numerous events – be sure to check it out next time you are there!
