TableCraft Provisions: Your Shortcut to Stunning Spreads

Imagine a canvas of curated cheeses, cured meats, and vibrant fruits, artfully arranged to tantalize the taste buds and spark conversation. That's the magic Sarah and Katie, the sisters behind TableCraft Provisions, are bringing to the Valley. More than just charcuterie, they're crafting edible experiences.

We all know that feeling: wanting to share something special with friends and family. For Sarah and Katie, that "something special" is the art of charcuterie. They’ve turned their passion into TableCraft Provisions, a local gem bringing joy and deliciousness to every gathering.

After experiencing the delight TableCraft Provisions creates firsthand, we couldn't wait to find out more about this dynamic duo and their business. We recently had the pleasure of chatting with Sarah and Katie and we've got all the deets for you!

Q: What inspired you to start a charcuterie board business?

A: A little mixture of serendipity and Carpe Diem. Katie had been helping friends with party food for forever. Sarah started helping with some of the bigger asks. We had more and more requests. During the holidays, we spent almost every day in the kitchen together working on spreading holiday cheer. We were good at it. We really enjoyed doing it together. It was so fulfilling. It just felt right. And there is nothing local that can quite compete!

Q: Can you share the story behind your business name?

A: We are over-thinkers, so we probably thought about it too much. We wanted a name that described exactly what we do without being boring or obvious. Some sophistication. A reference to the art of it. We craft provisions for tables. We feel like it works.

Q: What types of events or occasions do you cater to?

A: ALL OCCASIONS. Sharing charcuterie is a communal experience. It’s appropriate for every celebration- large and small. Holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, wedding cocktail hours, celebrations of life, baby showers, game days, family reunions, neighborhood picnics, teacher and employee appreciation events, business meetings, conferences, and parties, open houses, book clubs, date nights. Honestly, the list is endless. It’s a great option for businesses as well as for private events. We make hosting SIMPLE, professional and gorgeous. We love a big grazing table for a large event as much as we love individual boards for an intimate gathering.

Q: Where do you source your ingredients, and do you work with local suppliers?

A: We personally shop for everything locally at grocery stores and shops, the farmers market, the Friendly City Co-op. We ensure that we buy the highest quality and freshest ingredients. One of our goals is to create more local vendor partnerships. There are many opportunities for partnerships in this community and now that we are established, we can focus more on moving in that direction.

Q: Where do you find the inspiration for your boards?

A: Social media, seasons, moods, and our inner artists.

Q: What is your process for crafting the perfect charcuterie board?

A: Shop for just the right items to include. Think about the finished products' taste, colors, textures, and dimension. Add just the right portions of cheese, meat, fruit and accompaniments. Keep additional supplies on hand and save room for a Eureka moment. Include elements of surprise and beauty. Keep adding until it looks perfect. We like to over-do it. It’s kind of our specialty.

Q: What is your personal favorite ingredient or combination on a board?

A: Sarah- I love manchego and olives. Katie- I love brie with honey.

Q: What options or customizations do you offer for your boards?

A: Our offerings are completely customizable. We can do vegetarian, gluten-free, nut free, just veggies… We can include or disclude any ingredients a client may request. This is fun because it often opens us up to new ideas. We had a client recently request Turner ham for a grazing table. That was a new one. We are excited to see how it turns out.

Q: What is the most creative or unique board you've made so far?

A: Recently we’ve been experimenting with charcuterie cups and skewers which has been super fun and creative. We love charcuterie letters because they are just so darn cute. We LOVE winter holiday boards. We have lots of events of all types coming up and they are all unique so we are excited to continue pushing our own boundaries.

Q: What is the best part about running this business as sisters? Have you always shared a love for food and entertaining?

A: Katie is the entertainer mind. Sarah is the business mind. We are both artists and perfectionists, and we both love food and parties. Our holidays and get-togethers growing up were always centered around food—hosted by our mom and her three sisters.

The best part about working together is that our personalities and strengths and weaknesses perfectly compliment each other. We both bring something unique and compatible to the table. We know each other so well we can work seamlessly in tandem as a unit. We’ve also seen each other at our bests and worsts so there really aren’t any surprises.

Q: Do you have any advice for someone planning a party or event and considering charcuterie?

A: There are so many options. If your heart isn’t set on something in particular, definitely reach out so we can chat about what will suit your event best. Also, it’s totally worth it! Everyone should have food at their event that’s the talk of the party!

Q: What is the most rewarding part of creating these delicious masterpieces for your customers?

A: Our clients show us a lot of love. They are always so grateful. We feel very lucky to be in the business of making people happy and being a part of the special times in their lives. This business brings us lots of joy.

There you have it—TableCraft Provisions is more than just a business; it’s a celebration of family, food, and community. With their passion and dedication, Sarah and Katie are bringing a delightful and delectable touch to the Valley, one grazing board at a time.

The next time you're planning a gathering, let TableCraft Provisions take the stress out of the appetizer spread. Sarah and Katie are ready to craft a delicious and memorable experience for you and your guests!
