We recently had the pleasure of chatting with Julie and Andrey Kulikovskiy, the dynamic duo behind The Coffee Room. This husband-and-wife team has seamlessly transitioned from their previous ventures—Andrey's construction company, Skyline Construction, and Julie's role as a stay-at-home mom—to bring us this cozy coffee haven.
Read on for our Q&A with Julie and Andrey and step into this delightful & inviting community coffee shop with us!
Q: What inspired you to open a coffee shop in this area? Could you tell us a little bit about how The Coffee Room came to be?
A: The inspiration for a coffee shop came from a love for coffee and a love for community. The idea that we can offer the convenience of a drive thru for those on the go gave us our answer to proceed.
Q: Do you have any signature drinks or unique offerings on the menu?
A: We offer a variety of espresso drinks, hot or iced. We are working on some seasonal drinks that we are excited about!
Q: Are there any non-coffee items on the menu that you’re particularly excited about?
A: We have many non-coffee drinks, including matcha, boba refreshers, Red Bull kicker and more. We offer coffee shop classics like breakfast sandwiches, and freshly baked pastries.
We also offer unique European desserts such as the eclair, pavlova, french macaron, tiramisu, and even some gluten-free dessert options. These are subject to change as we go into a new season.
Q: If you could describe your coffee shop in three words, what would they be?
A: Three words to describe our shop would be welcoming, encouraging and cozy!
Q: What are some little-known facts about the shop or the process behind the scenes?
A: A fun fact about our journey in opening this shop is that originally, the building was purchased to be renovated to be office space for Andrey’s construction company. But when the opportunity presented itself, and we got approved to add a drive thru in the back, we decided to do both. So now we have office space for Skyline Contractor, and a coffee shop for the community.
Q: What do you hope people feel or experience when they walk in?
A: We wish for everyone who walks into our shop to feel welcome, to be greeted with a smile, and for them to be encouraged as they go about their day. We also want them to enjoy their coffee, and fellowship with one another.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to add?
A: We truly appreciate our wonderful community, and a big thank you to all of your love and support!
Best husband/wife team out there! Love them
