If you are currently in the food business or ever in the future plan to be, you have to know (really, it’s a must!) about The Business of Food Conference that’s scheduled for the end of June, brought to you by the Central Virginia and Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Centers.
The Business of Food Conference features a broad range of workshops and panel discussions relevant for food service professionals, restaurant managers and owners, and first-time food business entrepreneurs.*
The Conference is for the purpose of “Growing our culinary region with the right ingredients”* through sessions, panel discussions, and workshops. Topics range from branding, food safety, and social media to managing for growth, the hiring process, and the recipe for success.
The Conference is geared toward food service professionals, restaurant managers and owners, and first-time food business entrepreneurs.

During this time, several sessions and multiple workshops are offered.
