Spotlight On: Spitzer Art Center’s New Shop!

The Spitzer Art Center has recently opened up a new space for local artists to sell their items. Erin Murray, a full-time artist and organizer of the Spitzer Art Center, showed me around the Center and the new Gallery Shop. The Center is truly for and about artists - offering exhibition space, studio rental, and classes. They help connect local artists with the community through various programs, workshops, and member showcases. Check out their space if you're an artist, or just a community member looking to become involved in the local arts scene!

Spotlight On: The RoofTop at Jimmy Madison’s

Late summer is a great time to eat outside and enjoy the views...and what better place to do that than on a rooftop downtown! Jimmy Madison's has recently opened up a rooftop dining and bar area atop the Free Clinic. I had the opportunity to meet the general manager, Scott Stephens, and he showed me around their beautiful newly renovated space - with great views of the courthouse and downtown.

The Wilson Downtown Gallery: “Eye Candy”

We have new artists in our gallery space for August and September! Pamela Tittle and the artists from the Valley Art Project have created a show around the theme of eyes - from human to animal, Mickey Mouse to Harry Potter. Come join us for the First Fridays Art Opening September 1st from 5pm-8pm at the Wilson Downtown Gallery! There will be light refreshments!
