Harrisonburg was one of Virginia’s very first designated Arts & Cultural Districts. That’s something to be proud of and to celebrate. In order to do just that, the Arts Council of the Valley has set aside June as a month-long ArtsFest.

Check out the line-up of exhibits, events, and performances that will be taking place throughout the month.

Then go and revel in the Arts that this fine city has to offer. The Arts are an integral and vital part of any thriving community. As Bev Appleton, the Valley ArtsFest Coordinator, puts it,

If the community does not support their own community artists then we lose a valuable asset in quality of life issues for the larger community.
