The annual Veterans Day celebration in downtown Harrisonburg is always a special treat and an honor to be a part of. Our team is proud to open up our office -- Wilson Downtown Gallery -- during this special event to anyone who would like some free refreshments or to view the art currently displayed on our gallery walls by local artist, Brenda Hounshell. Take a look at the full lineup of events for the afternoon of November 6th!
Our team was formed in 2003 by Chris Rooker, who had a vision for providing extraordinary customer service in real estate to Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. Since then, we've grown in many ways -- added team members, expanded our marketing efforts, provided better service to our clients, increased sales, etc. -- but our experiences are what make us truly great. We often chat as a team about memorable moments, and thought it would be fun to share some of our best with you, our faithful readers.
The September 2016 Market Report is ready, and the local Harrisonburg and Rockingham County real estate market continues to produce strong sales, and what's even better news is that contracts are up considerably since last year at this time! We're thrilled with how the market is faring this year, but instead of gushing about how happy we are, we'll let the numbers speak for themselves.
The annual Farm-to-Table Breakfast, previously held at Clementine, is scheduled for October 24, 2016, at Ruby's Arcade in downtown Harrisonburg. A delicious collaboration from local farms provides an incredible breakfast, complete with local coffee and a friendly atmosphere. There really is no better way to highlight our amazing local farms than in a breakfast spread at a favorite downtown location in the Culinary District!
The temperatures are cooling down, the leaves are changing, and the smell of wood smoke is wafting through the crisp air. Fall is nearly upon us here in the Shenandoah Valley, which means it's time to perform some fall home maintenance tasks around our homes. It is important to tackle these projects in order to care for your home and give it a long life. Plus, checking off these tasks now will make your spring home maintenance list a whole lot easier (not that we have firsthand experience...).
Penn Laird, Virginia, resides in a very small piece of the Shenandoah Valley, just east of the City of Harrisonburg, and is made up of mostly higher end residential neighborhoods like Battlefield Estates, Madison Village, and Bridlewood. Learn more about what makes Penn Laird unique in our exploration of Harrisonburg's suburbs!
